Awkwardly hilarious, Loren’s unorthodox style of comedy juxtaposes playfulness with deeply dark humor. She turns grim subject matter, like depression and suicide, on its ear, presenting the bleakness of mental illness with unexpected wit and levity. Ever the outsider, Loren gives us a glimpse into her weird, silly and often tragic world that, in the end, is surprisingly life affirming.
Loren is also a playwright, writing about family, aging and suicide. Her new solo show A Bit Touched, premiering in March 2017, revolves around her OCD and her cat.
Loren co-wrote two one-woman shows, and stage-managed many Off- and Off-off Broadway plays. She wrote, directed and produced her play Time, You Thief at The Gill Theatre in SF. She performed excerpts from her own solo show, Further Out Than You Thought, at The Marsh in SF in 2011 & 2013.
Loren placed 3rd in The World Series of Comedy’s COMEDY GIRLS Satellite in Las Vegas, 2015.
Loren was a recipient of the 2014 JIMMY GUNN BAY AREA STAND-UP COMEDY AWARD’S Keep An Eye Out Award.

She won “Funniest Person in Downtown Berkeley” at Marga’s Funny Mondays at the Berkeley Marsh in 2011. She was in SF Sketchfest 2013, 2014 and 2015.
